The Application Dependency Mapping Service (ADMS) creates a map of touch-points between interconnected, networked systems. This information is used to:
• Identify unknown or forgotten server relationships.
• Model the impact of a failed server.
• Optimise system infrastructure (for example co-location of dependent virtual services on the same physical host).
• Cloud migration planning: map out application and server requirements and ensure continuity of service when migrating to the Cloud by avoiding incidents and downtime.
• Perform security reviews for servers communicating with multiple internet sites.
• Identify traffic outside of the network, for example, updates to software agents from remote sites such as cyber security patches.
• Identify inactive systems for decommissioning.
• Automated documentation downloaded into Visio and Excel.
Service for Windows that tracks every IO to every file should that level of detail be required.
